Amazon no longer downloads digital goods: goodbye to ebooks with its app
One comes relevant news by Amazon, which is closely related to its policies for digital goods, i.e. those paid content such as ebooks it sells globally.
Amazon has indeed stopped the possibility of download paid digital goods via its app. At the same time, the company asked all of its users to purchase these digital assets through its own official site And the Kindle app. The decision comes in response to Google’s new policy, which it provides commissions of 30% on in-app purchases for all companies with a turnover exceeding one million dollars.
The decision will therefore allow Amazon to no longer having to pay commissionsas purchases will no longer be made through its official app.
Of course the matter can take on sore notes for Amazon: many of its customers are get used to it to use its official app to make digital purchases, such as for buying ebooks. Amazon’s decision could therefore discourage this type of customer and take away revenue from Amazon.
