Android 13 Beta 2: news under the hood, it also arrives for non-Pixels

That just passed was an evening full of news for those who are passionate about the world of Google and Android. At Google I / O we saw several innovations for the smartphone and wearable sector, with Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch. In addition to this, the second public Beta of Android 13 has also arrived.

Google released Android 13 Beta 2 with a number of novelties that we can locate under the hood of the green robot. Let’s go and see them together:

  • Simplified app-specific language support.
  • Improved the synchronization of app icons with the system theme.
  • Uniformed the standard of HDR content management, Bluetooth LE Audio and MIDI 2.0 on USB.
  • Improvements for managing content on devices larger than smartphones.

With the Beta 2 of Android 13, Google also announced that the beta testing program is also available for non-Pixel devices. Devices from ASUS, HMD (Nokia devices), Lenovo, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, Tecno, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE should be able to join the Android 13 beta. Models have not been specified and assume that the timing distribution depend essentially on the individual producers. We have seen how OnePlus has already moved positively for its OnePlus 10 Pro.

Android 13 Beta 2 is being distributed via OTA for those who have installed the Beta 1, the update has a weight of approx 400 MB. It is possible to join the Beta via the official page, a reset will not be necessary unless the Android 12 QPR Beta has been installed.
