Apple Configurator updates as soon as it’s finished

Apple Configurator updates as soon as it’s finished

I have several iPads that I manage with Configurator. Since the 9.2 update when I insert an iPad and update it, as soon as Configurator finishes updating the device, the process begins.

The process is basically:

  1. Check iOS
  2. Clean the device and reinstall it
  3. Install applications
  4. Go to 1 and repeat.

I had the same problem so I thought I’d share my solution:

After the device needs to be updated again, manually stop the update. Once you can clear the update screen and view the settings for that device, it should be updated properly in the future.

It’s not a perfect answer, but it kind of works and at least keeps the device from refreshing forever.

In Preferences> General you can uncheck the box for Automatically update when a conceived supervisor is connected:

This means that you have to manually click on each device to start the update process, however it is at least a bit preferable to have the device updated endlessly.
