Google Nexus 7 crashes: what to do?
Whether in the bathroom or in a swimming pool, sometimes your Google Nexus 7 falls into the water. However, just because a laptop has fallen into the water doesn’t mean it’s dead. Sure enough, it is possible to run a Google Nexus 7 that was dropped in water. To achieve this, it is essential to follow certain steps. People often have bad reflexes and this is what can damage the Google Nexus 7. We will first see the steps to take after the Google Nexus 7 has been dropped in water. We will see in a second opportunity the common mistakes that most people make.
Steps to follow if your Google Nexus 7 ever falls into the water
If you want to be able to recover your Google Nexus 7 while it is running, we recommend that you follow the steps below.
Do not try to turn the Google Nexus 7 back on after taking it out of the water
The first thing you should do if the Google Nexus 7 has fallen into the water is to turn off the phone. Indeed, if it has never been turned off, turn it off without further ado. If it’s already off, don’t try to turn it back on now. In fact, if the Google Nexus 7 is ever turned on and gets soaked, it can cause a short circuit and thus toast the laptop.
Remove removable components.
Once the Google Nexus 7 is out of the water and turned off, it needs to be fully disassembled. This means that, if possible, the case, SIM card, SD card and battery will need to be removed. Once this is done, dry all of these items and proceed to the next step.
Vacuum the water from your Google Nexus 7
With a straw, you will need to suck the water out of your Google Nexus 7. To do this, you simply need to stick the straw in areas like the buttons and vacuum. Once you think you’ve sucked all the water out of your Google Nexus 7, you can start drying it.
Google Nexus 7 dry
The fourth step is to dry the laptop. To do this, we recommend putting it in front of a fan for a few hours. Avoid using methods that heat the laptop, as this can damage it. When it’s fine, we recommend that you leave the Google Nexus 7 in rice for 24 to 40 hours. Therefore, the rice will absorb the moisture left in the Google Nexus 7.
Reassemble the components and turn on the Google Nexus 7
Once you have completed the steps above, your Google Nexus 7 should be dry. So now you can try to turn on the Google Nexus 7. If that doesn’t work, we recommend that you wait a few more days or take the Google Nexus 7 to a repair shop.
What not to do if the Google Nexus 7 ever falls into the water
There are several things you should not do if your Google Nexus 7 has been dropped in water. The first is to try to turn the laptop back on immediately afterwards. It can destroy the Google Nexus 7. Finally, it is strongly recommended to use a heat source to dry the Google Nexus 7. In fact, procedures such as the oven or the hair dryer heat the components and can damage them. Finally, to get the water out of the laptop, don’t shake it. In fact, it could also damage the Google Nexus 7.
