Google’s Files app still emphasizes Nearby Share

Google just released a new update for Files appthe one dedicated to Android smartphones and which deals with the management of internal storage and all files stored locally.

The update it does not introduce any particular novelties compared to what we saw previously: screenshots in the gallery show that Google has re-placed the link to quick sharing nearbyknown internationally as Nearby Sharein lower bar of the app’s main interface. The novelty is reserved for the Files app on Pixel devices.

Google’s goal therefore seems to be that of emphasize the presence of quick sharing nearby, a feature that would be the alternative to AirDrop from Apple.

The novelty is included in the version 1.0.440568297 Files app in beta. Below you will find the button to download it directly from the Play Store.
