How can I restore iPhone in iTunes without updating iOS?
I am trying to restore a series of iPhone5C backups that I made in iTunes for my iPhone4S. My iPhone4S is still running on iOS 7.0.4. I don’t want to update it because iOS8 on iPhone4S will be almost unusable (current iOS7 is pretty bad on iPhone4S).
I tried to do this directly in iTunes using the restore function, but when I do, iTunes forces me to update my iOS to 8.3. If I refuse to update, the restore function stops and I cannot continue with my restore from there.

How can I restore in iTunes without having to update my iOS?
You can not. Restoring from another device backup will update to the latest iOS that the restored device can use. The only way would be to restore from a backup made initially from that same device, using that iOS. |
