How to uninstall iOS 16 Public Beta and go back to iOS 15
If you have installed the iOS 16 Public Beta and you are not very convinced, we are going to tell you how to return to iOS 15 in a jiffy
Uninstall iOS 16 public beta
Few days ago Manzana launched the iOS 16 Public Beta and many users rush to download and install it on our devices. We blind ourselves to enjoying the news before anyone else and, although the Beta works very well, we do not think about the cons that installing this operating system in tests may have.
As we always say, Betas can have bugs and/or cause your devices to not work properly. If this happens, we tell you how to get back to iOS 15 and wait patiently for the official version of the new iOS in early fall.
How to uninstall iOS 16 public beta:
The uninstall process is very simple. Of course, it may take days and even weeks to return to iOS 15 since you will have to wait until Manzana release a new version of iOS 15 for all users. Follow the steps to exit the Beta:
- Go into Settings.
- Go to “General”.
- Click on “VPN and device management”.
- Tap on the iOS beta profile.
- Select “Remove Profile”, and then restart your iPhone.
This way you will be out of beta registration. That yes, we warn that the iPhone will continue to have the Beta of iOS 16 until Manzana release a new non-beta version of the system. To know when this happens, do the following: Settings / General / Software Update and as soon as a new version appears, follow the steps to install it on the mobile.
If you don’t want to wait until Manzana release a new version and you want to go back to iOS 15 yes, you will have to restore the iPhone to factory settings. If you choose this option, make a backup of everything before anything else, otherwise you will lose all the content you have saved.
