iTunes does not update on a Windows Vista laptop; It says I need Windows 7
I installed the update on my iPhone after backing it up but I have an old version of iTunes and it won’t allow me to update it on my Windows Vista laptop (it tells me I need Windows 7). If I set up as a new iPhone will I lose everything I backed up? How can I get the new iTunes on my laptop?

You should well:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ Just find out if you need the version 32-bit or version 64-bit . The download website should detect it for your system though. Also make sure your laptop and phone are authorized on your Apple ID. UPDATE Related to OP’s comment: Don’t try to update from iTunes itself. Exit iTunes, even better restart the laptop. Go to the website, download the installer Use the download installer to update it. |
