One of the most interesting new features of Android 13 is coming
Let’s go back to talking about Android 13, the new generation of the smartphone operating system that Google will launch shortly. We have known the first news thanks to the beta builds of Android 13, now we have a further taste of what awaits us.
The animation you find in the gallery shows what should be one of the most interesting new features of Android 13: let’s talk about the universal photo selector system-wide, a selector that will be able to interface with any third-party apps and services on Android, so to avoid what selectors of third parties have access to internal storage.
The new selector should work with Photo and video saved in internal storage. According to the latest references unearthed in the Google Play System Update changelog, Google is planning to to distribute the new selector not only to Android 13 but also to previous versions. Currently it seems to be necessary to have the API 30corresponding to Android 11.
The animation that you find below shows the general operation of the selector. We expect Google to officially present it with Android 13, maybe it will give us an official taste of it during the Google I / O which will open tomorrow May 11th.
