Spotify adds more personalized playlists with Spotify Mixes

Spotify, the leading music streaming service, introduces a new feature Spotify Mixes that provides personalized playlists with your favorite artists, genres, and decades.

Spotify Mixes Are New Custom Playlists

According to the announcement on the Spotify website, this new feature was inspired by Daily Mix, which is the most popular custom playlist among Spotify users.

Spotify Mixes is a new family of custom playlists to aid the discovery of music on the platform. It brings three new custom playlists based on your favorite artists, genres, and decades, appropriately titled Artist Mix, Genre Mix, and Decade Mix, respectively.

New Spotify Mixes playlists include both the tunes you’ve already liked and the ones the algorithm thinks you might like, based on your favorite artists, genres, or musical decades.

Each mix is created with you at the center, based on your listening habits and the artists, genres, and decades you listen to the most. They are rooted in familiarity, which means that you will not only listen to your favorite artists, but also your favorite songs from those artists. Then we complement it by adding songs that we think you will love, which means that they will be filled with the music you have on replay along with some new selections. So whether you want to play with a specific artist or listen to more music from another decade, there is a mix just for you.
