The 5c restore fails, at the “Wait for iPhone” restore step. Do not start the backup.

I am trying to reset my 5c, it starts up to the loading page, then to the apple logo, after doing it once and the reset procedure fails, in the previous step, with error code 2001, I cannot reset the my phone. How can I solve this problem?

According to the Apple website here, the error code 2001 it’s relative to USB problems . Try the following:

  1. Use the USB cable that came with the iPhone or another USB cable that is directly from Apple (not third party, even if it’s MFI)
  2. Plug the USB cable into a different port on the computer. Do not use a USB on a keyboard.
  3. Try another computer.

If all those fail, try checking for hardware problems on that same Apple site.
