Third party apps in Android 13 will be able to capture HDR video

Google launched the Camera2 API to introduce more stock camera features on third party camera apps. In this regard, the company has announced some changes coming through Android 13in particular the enabling of HDR video support on third-party apps.

All this, therefore, would also allow old devices to use advanced camera features, provided that, as highlighted by Google, there is at least support for theHLG10.

Additionally, Android 13 should receive the support for preview stabilization and jitter reduction. This results in improved camera viewfinder performance on third-party apps and better adaptation even at higher frame rates. Finally, these functions they should also arrive on older smartphones through the CameraX library.
