What happened to the right / control + mouse click on “Get Album Artwork” in iTunes 12.4?

I’m on Mac OS X 10.11.5 (El Capitan) and just upgraded to iTunes 12.4 and if I right / control + mouse click on a track I no longer see “Get Album Artwork” in the options list. I am 100% positive this was the case in earlier versions (12.3 and below) of iTunes. What does it give?

  • IPad and IPhone – back up “damaged” files – spyware on IPad
  • Can I hide purchased music from the Music app in iOS 10?
  • Password protect MacBook by keeping iTunes running
  • I have a movie that no longer plays on iTunes or my iPad
  • Remove the iOS8 installation file from iPad

You can right click the album icon / icon and get access to “Get Album Artwork”.

Maybe this is a bug or a feature or a sign of “things to come” (for example: Apple no longer cares about locally stored and downloaded music) but the “Get Album Artwork” option is now hidden in the area menu “File -> Library -> Get Artwork Album.”

But it gets more exciting – this is why this isn’t clear if it’s a bug or a feature, but this reminder where “Get Album Artwork” doesn’t show is only when running track list views. But if you switch to album view, “Get Album Artwork” is displayed again when you right / control + mouse click on a complete album.
