Android Auto wireless doesn’t work – does it happen to you too?

Android Auto still represents a benchmark in the infotainment sector, especially for those who own an Android device and a car with a compatible Android Auto box.

Too bad that in the last few days there are not a few users who are having relevant problems with the well-known Google platform for cars. Specifically, the problems would be related to the how to use wireless by Android Auto. There are several users who have reported the inability to use Android Auto wireless on the official Google support forum.

Problems with wireless Android Auto would consist of black screen display when connecting the device wirelessly to the Android box of the car.

Many users who are reporting the problem claim they started experiencing them no later than of the latest update released for Android Auto, which started ai early July. It was the version 7.8 for users who have joined the beta program.

While it seems clear that the problem is transversal to all car models, it is not clear if the same also affects those who use third-party devices, such as AAWireless, to use Android Auto wirelessly.

At the moment Google has not officially commented the affair, but we expect that in the short it will move with a new update to fix the bug. The only solution, for those affected by it, is to use Android Auto in wired.

It should be noted that the Android Auto malfunction currently affects all car models that support Android Auto wireless natively. Let us know if you are among them.
