Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 received patch 1.1

  • Steam: 6-9 GB
  • GOG: 1.1 GB
  • Xbox: 16.54 GB
  • PS4: 16.84 GB
  • CD Project RED studio released a new update to the game Cyberpunk 2077. Patch was numbered 1.1 and is now available on all hardware platforms, i.e. on PC, consoles and the Google Stadia service.

The patch is the first of two major updates promised to fix the game’s most serious issues. The premiere of the second (1.2) is planned for next month. In the meantime, however, other, smaller patches should be released.

Patch 1.1 focuses on improving the technical layer of Cyberpunk 2077 and fixing the bugs that prevented some adventures from being completed. The update increases the stability of the engine, so that the game freezes less frequently, e.g. when loading saves or loading data. The use of memory by character systems, interaction, navigation, vegetation, laser effects, minimap, devices, AI, traffic and environmental damage has also been improved.

The update is also expected to fix many bugs related to the open world, interface and visuals. These changes apply to all hardware platforms, but also fixes for specific versions. On PC, you can finally earn Steam Achievements offline. We have also fixed an issue that caused the game to freeze when running on computers with Nvidia graphics cards.

On the other hand, in the case of the console versions, the crowd simulation elements on the PlayStation 4 Pro and PS5 were optimized, and in the case of the Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S, the memory usage for character creation, using mirrors, scanning, remote camera control and in the menu was improved. The full list of changes can be found on the official website of the game.

Some players probably counted on more, considering that this is one of the long-announced “big updates”. The first reactions are not very positive and there are voices of disappointment with the scale of the amendments. Some of the serious deficiencies related to the missions still have not been fixed, e.g. in the adventure of the Red Prophet, many people still cannot track the router, which is needed to hack to complete the order.

Worse, the patch was supposed to introduce a handful of new problems. While riding a motorcycle, the game can “forget” about rendering the character’s head. There are also reports that the patch may break some tasks by forcing the loading of earlier saves. Some players also report more frequent freezes of production on their equipment.
