Google Assistant could improve thanks to “personalized voice recognition”
It would appear that Google is working on improving Google Assistant’s ability to recognize words. According to the strings in recent versions of the Google app on Android, in fact, in the voice assistant settings a “Custom Speech Recognition” option will appear.
In detail, in the code you can read this: “Store audio recordings on this device to help the Google Assistant better recognize what you say. The audio remains on this device and can be deleted at any time by turning off custom voice recognition. Learn more.”
The upcoming function, therefore, aims to improve machine learning especially of frequently spoken wordsa bit like it already happens on 2nd generation Nest Hub and Mini. On the timing of the release, an official communication has not yet been released.
