Sony reveals its PS5 console and confirms several titles

At its Future of Gaming event on Thursday, Sony gave viewers a look at the new PS5 console. The company showed off the upcoming PS5 at the end of the event alongside the new DualSense controller. Sony also showed off a set of equipment such as an HD camera, charging station media remote, and Pulse 3D wireless headphones. It is not clear at this time if the equipment is included or optional to add.

The next generation console will have two versions: a standard model and one thinnest digital machine that is “diskless”. Gamespot reported that the PS5 uses an SSD and that game discs will support a capacity of up to 100GB.

The company discussed new titles for the new console, teasing titles as a sequel to Spider-man, Resident Evil VIII and Horizon: Forbidden West. You can watch the trailers for these new games below:

Sony also offered a glimpse of a new headset, the Pulse 3D wireless, presumably to take advantage of the new audio technology built into its long-awaited console.

Joins a redesigned camera and a multimedia remote control as part of the new family. It is unclear if the new accessories will come bundled with the console. Interestingly, there was no discussion about them, but many explanations about the console.

Sony had delayed the event after worldwide protests broke out in response to the murder of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, while in police custody. Sony had initially planned to hold its event on June 4 despite the pandemic of coronavirus, which closed the annual E3 video game show this year.
