Waiting for the official debut, rumors continue to emerge about Samsung’s new smartwatches, that is Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. This time the advances concern the possible prices of the devices and, sadly, this is not good news. According to the Twitter user “rauandt” – which has already proved to be a reliable source in the past – sales prices they will be quite tall. But let’s proceed in order.
According to the tipster, Galaxy Watch 5 will be available in 40mm and 44mmwhile the Pro exclusively in 45 mm. The first model, i.e. the 40 mm version, it will cost 300 euros (Bluetooth variant) and 350 euros (LTE variant). It will be available in rose gold, gray and silver. The 44 mm versioninstead, will cost 350 euros (Bluetooth variant) and 400 euros (LTE variant) and it will be possible to buy it in blue, gray or silver.
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will have a sale price equal to 490 euros (Bluetooth variant) and 540 euros (LTE variant). It will be available in black and, exclusively, also in version “titanium”.
Making a quick comparison with previous models, the 40mm Galaxy Watch 4 was sold at a price of 269 euros (Bluetooth variant) and 319 euros (LTE variant), therefore about 30 euros less than the new series. The 44mm models, on the other hand, cost money about 50 euros less than the new Galaxy Watch 5. The price increases become more expensive if we look at the prices of the 46 mm Galaxy Watch Classic, which compared to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro it cost around 90 euros less.
Who knows, then, what potential buyers will think of these price increases. Surely they will not be happy with it, however the novelties designed by Samsungsuch as probable faster wireless charging, with a maximum output of 10W, they could drive away negative thoughts.
